There is no denying that life can be very overwhelming more often than not. However, we have choices in how overwhelming things effect us daily. We can choose to be overwhelmed with good or bad. It is our decision to make. You see, we can not let the world around us effect who we are or choose to be. Emotions require more than that gut feeling, they require action. Are we going to act on love or hate? Our reactions to our emotions will greatly change who we are. Through practice and willingness to change, we can change overwhelming negative feelings into overwhelming positive feelings.
This page is not just about self love. Although important, it is more about self change. Changing our behaviors and mindsets will change the way we look at life. It will change our relationships with others and how we handle them.
In order to fully understand the depths of problems we face in life, we must know that there are two unseen forces consistently waging war over us. It is good and evil. In better terms, God and Satan. If you believe in God, then you have to believe in Satan and vice versa. Therefore, we must choose a path.
How do you wish to be known when you die? How do you want others to remember you? Are you striving to be like that person? When death arrives, where are you going to go? Who will you entertain?
I think we all would agree that we desire to live in peace and in heaven. We want to be known as good people on Earth. None of us want to believe that we are just a pile of dust and we becoming nothing. There is no more proof in that statement than there is in proof of a living God. I would venture to say, that God has more proof than science in this aspect.
I spent many days of my life searching for the feelings of faith and belief until I realized these are not feelings, they are choices we make. We choose what we believe and we choose where our faith lives. We make a commitment to believe and have faith those things.
That is why my choice is not in science, but in God and His word (the Bible). The Bible contains more morality, answers, and life applications than science and psychology could ever offer. If you read it for yourself, you will see these things. Our reliance on man is too strong, we must rely on the unseen good. We can find these answers in the blessings that come from reading the Bible for ourselves. You will be amazed how it speaks to you and delivers you out of hard times. It will teach you and guide you like no other book you will find.
I have a BA in Psychology and a certification in Family Studies. Although these courses will often refute God, I found it amazing how they proved who He was without even knowing it. From the intricate wiring of your brain to your internal thoughts, God has designed us all perfectly and uniquely. From the moment we are created until our death, we are growing and changing.
My science courses did the exact same thing. When you read over case studies and their effort to disprove God, you find that they always come to a pit stop. They have no explanation for something which blows their case entirely out of the water.
How hard is it to just believe in a God?
One thing I learned is that we all hurt and some of us more than others. We all have things in life that effect us greatly. Every one of us will face challenges and obstacles that will get in our way. This is where behaviorism comes into play. Both psychologists and Bible believers will tell you behaviors shape who we are. The good part is, we can change our behaviors. Through repetition and will power, we all can be who God intended for us to be. Even the most broken people can change for the better.
I am in my forties, in my second marriage, and have five children. I have faced many highs and lows. I have tried to venture outside of my faith and rely on my own devices. Each time of I have done this, the outcome was never good. It is my goal to share these times with you. I want you to know no matter where you are, you are not alone.
I want to share with you my love of God and the Bible. I want you to know the importance of discernment and reading and believing these words for yourself. Man has imposed so many unnecessary rules and regulations. God never intended for us to be miserable in this world. We are supposed to be in it, not of it, and loving it every step of the way.
I would be a hypocrite if I told you I am in a perfect state of mind every day. I have trials and errors just like you. My advice is oftentimes something I need to apply as well. My teachings from the Bible and my understanding of psychology have greatly helped me pinpoint what I need to change.
Life is not about pointing our fingers at others, but pointing them at ourselves. What can we do to be better people and live better lives? Believe me, this is easier said than done. However, we can challenge ourselves and try. We are human and we will have errors. The key is how we handle those errors.
Focusing on God, the Bible, our family, and ourselves will greatly improve our lives. Knowing when to say no, who to avoid, and how to handle situations will help us all grow.
Although it would be a tremendous blessing, my goal is not to reach millions. It is to reach the ones that need my words. I want to show comfort and peace to those facing trial.
This blog is not about money for me. It is about the blessing of writing and research God has given me. I would love to spend my days writing and monetizing if that is God’s will. However, I know my purpose. My purpose is to spread the word of God, show people how to change, and give people hope.
My door is always open, if you ever need me. I am a friend and a prayer warrior. I am on your side. As a child of God, it is my duty. Should you ever need personal comfort or have questions, feel free to use my personal email to reach out to me. (firstname.lastname@example.org) I will do my best to respond as quickly as possible.
My belief system
I believe the Bible to be God's inspired word from front to back. I believe it speaks to us directly when we read it. God will give us direction through His word. As I stated before, reliance on man made rules and thoughts is not the key to a relationship with God. It is through our own study of the words ourselves.
There are many wonderful pastors out there who have a lot to teach us. However, there are also many deceivers. In order to discern these voices, we must know the word of God ourselves.
I believe in the trinity. That is in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are three in one. A great way to explain this is through this analogy: I am Holly. I have arms, legs, and ears. These are separate parts of me that make one whole.
I believe Jesus was placed on this earth to prove to us the existence of God and to deliver us from the sinful nature of this world. Through His sacrifice on the cross and the shedding of His blood, we have salvation if we believe. Through salvation, we get eternal life, in Heaven, with the Mighty King (God) and all other believers. Salvation is a gift for everyone no matter what state you are in. God loves you and accepts you for who you are.
