I was zapped by 11 am and threw in the towel today.  The journey of full time blogging has its fair share of ups and downs.  Your mind often races with one thing to the next.  You are filled with ideas.  You are always wondering if you will match up to the others.  Will you ever be successful or will you ever make money?  There is so much I want to say and do in my writings.  I am filled with plans, goals, hopes, dreams, and a desire for a career in writing. There are nights I have trouble sleeping.  No matter what you are passionate about, you can relate.  Your brain kicks into overdrive more often than not.  Whether you are stressed over work, home, or daily life, it seems there is always something that keeps your mind going. Sometimes this will bring us to the point of burn out.

It seems our lives are filled with being somebody for someone.  We are employees, parents, spouses, and on and on it goes.

I realized, I started my writing career having a love of writing and now I have made it a chore.  I spend too much time wondering the direction I should take, who I will offend, how professional I should be, and so on.  I look into the opinions of others on what I should say, do, or how I should behave.  You do not realize how many posts I have deleted in fear it did not match up or would offend someone. I am scared to make videos because I do not want the criticism or negative feedback.  I should not be so concerned about what everyone thinks.

My dream has always been to use my Psychology degree and knowledge of the Bible to help others.  I have always wanted to give people tools that would help them find balance and give them hope.

I believe writing is my gift from God.  I am a researcher and I love to find truths that will help other people including myself.  However, I am no longer enjoying my gift. Although I believe we should fly with our passions, we should also enjoy them.  We should continue to strive to reach goals, but enjoy our time along the way.  Let God do the work.  Sometimes we want things so badly, we do not take the time to listen to God.  I have decided to start listening.  God will do what He wants with my gift of writing and if it reaches one person, I have done my job.

Some days, I feel like a hypocrite.  As I write my thoughts and ideas, I realize I need to apply some of it to my own life.  Instead of feeling like a hypocrite, I am going to thank God for revealing my faults as I go along.  Life is about adjusting and changing who you are to be more like Christ.  There are times I stumble and fall too.  Things I suggest are often easier said than done.  True commitment to change is hard work.  However, I am changing and continuing to work on being the person I want to be.  That is all I need to do!

Sometimes all of us need to just take a breather.  Take the time to pray and actually listen to the voice of God and not the voices in our heads.  We cannot allow comparisons to others and emotions to control us.

We need to understand answers will sometimes come quickly.  Other times, the answers take longer.  It is all about growing. Regardless, at the end of the battle, we will look back and understand exactly why things went the way we did.  We are only in trials for a season.

Lets all try to stop being someone we are not.  God has created us each uniquely for a reason.  He has given us all gifts and talents to use for His purpose.

We are placed in positions where we may not know the purpose immediately.  Accept each trial, embrace it, and know change is headed your way.  We face trials that often change us for the better down the line.

Having faith in God is not an emotion, it is a decision.  We need to trust He is working in us for our own good and for His glory.  I am impatient, I want answers now.  I need to learn to wait on God and His timing.

We need to understand everyone around us has faced trials.  What looks rosy on the outside can be intense pain on the inside.  All of us have times of struggles.  None of us are alone in this crazy game called life.

God is always with us in times of trial. He wants us to be who He created us to be, not someone else.

When you read my posts, know I am just like you.  I have struggles and sadness sometimes too.

My blessing in writing has not only helped give me a voice for others, but it has changed me as well.  God has revealed to me my issues and my problems.  It keeps me on my toes and in line too. I continue to search for answers that help me and ones I can share with you.  We all need balance and happiness in life. God wants none of us miserable.

Continue to keep your head up.  Pray and read your Bible.  Keep talking to God and keeping working on changing for the better.  We do not need to conform to others or this world.  We need to focus on being the best self we can be.  Let your light shine bright and thank God for who you are!

Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.  (Luke 12:7)

The Lord is my light and salvation-whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid?  (Psalm 27:1)

(Jesus Speaking) Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? (Luke 6:25-27)

Knowing and Growing with God is the best step you can take to living a life of worth and value.  God is your biggest cheerleader and the Bible is the best therapy you can get.  If you do not know Christ all ready, get started knowing him today!

Definitely write and share no matter what mood you’re in! We’re all human and I think it’s beautiful when our true selves show through our writing! Keep sharing!
